The first fallacie I chose is Appeal to Emotion (Argumentum Ad Misericordiam) and the article I chose is how Ecuadorian Prsident Rafael Chavez calls Columbian raids as War Crimes. The article goes on to say how President Chavez asked for international help and the Organization of the United States called the raids an attack on Ecuadorian sovereignty.
The second fallacie is the Appeal to Force (Argumentum Ad Baculum) though it is not violent, but in the buissness and political world it is. The article is on how Lawmakers are threatening to kill a tanker deal with the US Air Force. The Pentagon did not explain clearly enough why it was trying to form a partnership between Northrop Grumman and the partent group or Airbus, instead of Boeing. I understand why the House Appropriations Committee is doing this, Boeing has been the number one heavy aircraft factory since WW2.
The third fallacie is the Appeal to Improper Authority (Argumentum Ad Verecundium) though he is not famous by our but in Northern Ireland he is. Peter Robinson is the favored to be the next prodistent leader in Northern Ireland, he lead a mob attack on boarder town. Some of the press in the area say he is the best to gather the power that Ian Paisley holds as the current but out going leader.
All these fallacies have some parts to play in world politics, relations, and in buissness. All of these could be argued and discussed for a long time, though some may not have an interest about these topics/articles.

Middle-Schoolers Get the Pill
This article brings to light the fact that middle high school girls are being aloud with out parental consent. It’s a known fact that kids are maturing at a younger age and are becoming more sexually active then generations before them. This article, in a way, brings to light both sides of this issue. The sides are we should allow these girls to do so and the other side is more traditional and presents a more conservative view on the matter.
The first side is for these girls doing this BUT safely. It says that if these girls want to get the pill all they have to do is see the health center to get ONLY after an extensive questioning by the health center personal. Because most of these girls are immigrants or poor kids and are very sexually active. Most of which are 14 and 15 years old and in the eighth grade and the school district is trying to make it easier for lower ended girls to get the pill to have safer sex.
The other side is against these girls having sex until they are much older. This side is pushing abstinence until they are older and wiser about the dangers of having sex. This side is the old fashion conservative side of the political scale and is considered “Puritanical theocrats.”
Both sides show very similar sides and arguments that can be argued until we are all blue in the face. Middle school girls in this time are more concerned about being treated like adults then they are there age. This kid of thinking is very dangerous because this is how older men, which some times are predators, see and act upon. Girls of ANY age should consider that the risk is not worth it and wait until they know the dangers and can deal with the consequences of sex at a young age.

Rhetorical Analysis
The mistakes in my Analysis essay can be fixed very easily and with time. Basically all it is just grammer and structuring, also some punctuation errors. Just little things here and there and my paper would have been grader better. Some of it was putting in or leaving minor things out of the paper that should have or not have been in my paper. The main one was citing the page number, I put it in where it should not have been, and left it out where it was needed: (185) or not in at all. Another thing that I can fix is the connection of the writing with ethos, logos, pathos and the use of the rhetorical triangle in the paper. I also have to keep my personal opinons out of it and keep my mind on the assignment. I have to keep an eye out for sentence fragments so that i do not get points taken off from the final grade. So its just minor little things here and there and i will take the time to fix them and get a better grade.

Synthesis
The Banking Concept of Education by Paulo Freire and The Allegory of the Cave from The Republic, BookVII by Plato make very good points for being written hundreds to thousands of years apart. The way Plato taught was when ever one of his students made a comment or gave an answer, he would challenge it to make them think and to have the student suppost what they said with facts. Some teachers in today's society do not do this because they do not want to hurt the students feelings by challenging what they said. Paulo points out ten teaching ideals that were or are still in practice, these ideals shape an image that the student is a mindless robot that should do as told to do, nothing good can come from this way of teaching. Plato would have open disscusions to MAKE his students think, discuss, and present different ideas and methods. Yet despite their differences, poth pieces share some common themes. They both show how if a teacher is willing to be open to their students and if the students are willing to open their minds to different ways of thinking, then anything is possible.

PADI: Professional Association of Diving Instructors
This site to me is not just another scuba diving site, its a site that shows that any one can do it. The logos is well done in my opinon, when you open the site you see a person with a mask, fins, snorkel, and a "toy"(for us scuba divers) but it is a underwater hand held propeller. The women is surrounded by 3 dolphins. To the left of the screen there are the language selections so people of other nations may read it with ease. The pathos is one heck of a hit, the fact that three dolphins are playfully swimming around a person in their natural habitat. Also the water is extremely clear and clean which adds to the pathos. Ethos, well PADI is a world wide suba diving company. All scuba divers have PADI certification cards which is needed to do alot of the dives so that the dive master and others know that you have been trained and certified to a certain level of diver. So I feel that this site has some of the best visual and other factors that add to its beauty.

Mother Tongue
Amy Tan's piece called "Mother Tongue" focuses on what it was like writing and learning english when her mother only spoke Chinese. Some of you may know of Amy Tan by her book "The Joy Luck Club". I think that she is trying to reach out people that lived in one nation then moved to a completely new nation and had to learn the native language to assilate into the nation and to get around with no problems. Even though some people do learn and get around people do not treat them right just because they are from a different country. We need to treat those from another country as if they were from the the country that we live in so that they feel like the are at home. This piece may also be aimed at parents that are to entrenched with the lives they had and are unwilling to change to a new life. Some parents fear change and would fight like there is no tomorrow to keep their lives the same.
